The launching of our MMOTCP Welcome Ministry in January of 2023 with Father Martin and Patty Baylog as our team’s mentors was a process of learning and developing. We are so pleased to have received a wonderful response from many of those new parishioners who have attended our Meet & Greet gatherings. They’ve shared many experiences on how they’ve found MMOTCP including the positive vibes and help they’ve encountered, plus offering suggestions and encouraging compliments about our parish and ministry. A special reward for Father Martin and the team members is when new parishioners spend a good deal of time chatting with each other after a Meet & Greet as refreshments are being served. The goal of being a parish family continues!
Welcoming new parishioners and including them in our church family are the two main objectives of our ministry. Father Martin’s initial goal was rather than having potential parishioners fill out a registration form to join our parish that he and the team members of the Welcome Ministry could meet with them personally. As mentioned, our ministry has come a long way since its beginning. Not only do we welcome new adult parishioners to a monthly Meet & Greet gathering, but if there are any children in the household, they are more than welcome to join their parents. Children’s activities and treats are available to keep them entertained. Our Meet & Greet gatherings are the fourth Thursday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in the upstairs meeting room at the Parish Office which is next to St. Mary’s Church on Crosswicks Street. There are flyers in both churches for potential parishioners with directions on how to join MMOTCP.
As you can see from the picture below, there are quite a number of new parishioners registering with MMOTCP. Father Martin, Patty and the Welcome Ministry team members are so grateful for our parish family.
If you are considering joining MMOTCP, please either call the Parish Office at 609-298-0261 or contact our website – https://mmotcp.org/
