The last 12 months has been very challenging for all of us and for some, extremely so. March 2020 we witnessed our Churches closed to public worship and private prayers, which left so many feeling isolated and very alone in this world. One way we in the parish tried to address this was to hold a Family Prayer Hour every evening from 7pm-8pm, a virtual coming together that brought so much joy and comfort to so many, and we were delighted to do this.
With the rollout of the vaccine and the demand for the use of St Mary’s for rehearsals in preparation of the sacraments
and the celebration of the sacraments – First Penance, First Eucharist, and confirmation. Plus the coming of summer, I have decided to suspend the Family Prayer Hour, effective immediately, and review it in the Fall.
Please be assured and know, you, and all we have been praying for during our Family Prayer Hour, will continue to be prayed for and remembered in our daily celebration of the Eucharist.
May the joy of the resurrection forever fill your hearts.
